Spotted this fawn this morning while taking the pooch buddy through the woods. It was lying down by itself in a somewhat secluded spot. I just happened to look in the proper direction at the right time. After awhile, it stood up and we left. I hope its mother was nearby and I think she was as we saw a large deer leap across the highway just before entering the woods. The pooch was curious but well mannered the whole time 🙂 We circled back through about an hour later past same spot and the fawn was still there.

at 11:15 local time, the very last of a lake ice remnant visible:
mergansers during sunset
Spring is back today after its short, well deserved vacation. 😎
yesterday evening, island shape is accented by a thin layer of snow.
today the lake ice is almost out for the season
note: the ice in picture was gone by early evening.
This shot was taken of the ice starting to push ashore, with a thunderstorm in the distance.
It reached 27C or 81F and everything around sprang to life. The soundscape became symphonic.
Picture above taken just after sunset at 8:15 pm local time. (01:15 utc)

on an early morning of July last summer …
Hello all..
Early in the morning last summer in July, after a cold night, the otherwise invisible spider webs were all revealed in the sunrise as they were covered with morning dew.
